Inspired Edu, a global education group, sought to revolutionize its digital learning environment to better support its growing student population and modern educational needs. With the increasing demand for robust, scalable digital platforms, the institution faced significant challenges in delivering a unified and high-performing campus portal that could accommodate thousands of users while integrating diverse digital learning tools. To address these challenges, VE3 partnered with Inspired Edu, leveraging AWS Managed Cloud Services to design and deploy a state-of-the-art cloud-based platform. This collaboration aimed to overcome limitations in scalability, security, and performance, ultimately enhancing the educational experience and operational efficiency

The portal needed to support a growing student population, with the capacity to handle tens of thousands of simultaneous users, particularly during peak academic periods.
With the increasing importance of digital learning, the Institute required a robust platform capable of hosting virtual classrooms, multimedia content, and collaborative tools, all integrated into the portal.
As a leading educational institution, the Institute needed to ensure that the portal adhered to strict data protection regulations and provided a secure environment for student and faculty data.
The portal had to be highly reliable, with minimal downtime, to support continuous access to educational resources, particularly for remote and international students. Without addressing these challenges, the Institute risked delivering a fragmented digital experience, potentially compromising its reputation for excellence in education and research.
VE3 conducted a thorough assessment of the Institute ‘s existing infrastructure to identify key areas for modernization. This included evaluating current workloads, dependencies, and performance bottlenecks. A detailed migration plan was developed to minimize downtime and ensure a seamless transition to AWS.
Containerization with Amazon ECS
The existing monolithic application was broken down into microservices, containerized, and deployed on Amazon ECS (Elastic Container Service). This modernization approach allowed for improved scalability, easier management, and faster deployment cycles.
CI/CD Pipeline Implementation
VE3 implemented a continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline using AWS CodePipeline. This enabled automated testing, integration, and deployment of updates, significantly reducing the time required to deploy new features and improving the platform’s responsiveness to user needs.
Amazon EC2 and Auto Scaling
The application servers were migrated to Amazon EC2 instances with Auto Scaling, ensuring the platform could dynamically scale to handle varying traffic loads, particularly during peak academic periods.
Database Migration to Amazon RDS
The existing database was migrated to Amazon RDS, providing a fully managed and scalable relational database solution with built-in high availability and automated backups.
Data Migration
VE3 used AWS Data Migration Service (DMS) to migrate the Institute’s data from the legacy system to the new AWS environment with minimal downtime, ensuring that academic operations could continue uninterrupted.
AWS WorkSpaces and Media Services
The modernized platform integrated AWS WorkSpaces and Media Services, enabling secure access to virtual classrooms and high-quality streaming of live lectures and webinars, enhancing the Institute’s digital learning capabilities.
AWS Lambda and API Gateway
Serverless functions were used to power interactive learning modules and real-time collaboration tools, improving the overall user experience and reducing the load on the core infrastructure.
Enhanced Security with AWS Services
The platform was secured using AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM), AWS WAF (Web Application Firewall), and Amazon GuardDuty for continuous security monitoring and threat detection.
All data, both at rest and in transit, was encrypted using AWS Key Management Service (KMS) to meet compliance requirements and protect sensitive information.

The portal can now support over 15,000 simultaneous users, with the ability to scale further as the Institute’s student population grows
The Institute achieved a 30% reduction in IT operational costs through optimized resource management and VE3's managed services.
