VE3 is pleased to announce its appointment to the Transport Technology framework (RM6347), administered by the Government Commercial Agency (GCA). VE3 has secured positions across four lots – Lot 2 (Data Services), Lot 7a (Systems and Platforms – Systems Integration), Lot 7b (Systems and Platforms – Smart Ticketing), and Lot 8e (Active and Passive Infrastructure – Detectors, Informing and Communication Technologies) – making it a pre-qualified supplier of transport technology solutions to any public sector organisation across the UK.

The Transport Technology framework is one of the UK government’s most comprehensive procurement routes for transport technology products, software, and services. It supports public sector transport authorities in modernising their infrastructure, improving citizen travel experiences, and advancing the UK’s transport policy goals – including the transition to clean energy, smart mobility, and data-driven network management.

VE3’s Appointed Lots

VE3’s four-lot appointment reflects the breadth of its capability across the transport technology landscape – from data analytics and systems integration through to smart ticketing platforms and operational communication infrastructure. Together, the four lots position VE3 as a partner capable of supporting transport authorities at every stage of their technology modernisation journey.

  • Lot 2: Data Services
  • Lot 7a: Systems and Platforms – Systems Integration
  • Lot 7b: Systems and Platforms – Smart Ticketing
  • Lot 8e: Active and Passive Infrastructure – Detectors, Informing and Communication Technologies

Delivering Transport Technology That Drives Better Outcomes

Transport authorities across the UK are under sustained pressure to modernise ageing infrastructure, improve passenger experience, reduce operational costs, and meet net zero commitments – all while managing increasingly complex, multi-modal networks. The Transport Technology framework provides a flexible, compliant route to access the specialist solutions needed to address these challenges.

Through its Lot 2 appointment, VE3 supports transport organisations in harnessing the power of their data – enabling smarter network management, more accurate passenger information, and better-informed investment decisions. Across Lots 7a and 7b, VE3 delivers the systems integration and smart ticketing capability required to build seamless, interoperable transport networks that work for passengers and operators alike. And through Lot 8e, VE3 provides the operational technology infrastructure – detectors, informing systems, and communications – that underpins the day-to-day functioning of modern transport networks.

Collectively, VE3’s capabilities under these four lots enable public sector transport authorities to:

  • Consolidate and analyse transport network data to improve operational performance and planning
  • Integrate disparate transport systems into unified, interoperable platforms
  • Deploy and manage smart ticketing and integrated travel payment solutions
  • Modernise passenger information and communication infrastructure
  • Build resilient, secure transport technology estates that support long-term service improvement
  • Deliver technology programmes aligned with net zero and clean transport objectives

“Transport is critical infrastructure – the technology that underpins how people and freight move across our cities, regions, and networks has a direct impact on economic productivity, quality of life, and environmental outcomes. Our appointment to the Transport Technology framework reflects VE3’s growing capability in this space, and we look forward to working with transport authorities to deliver the connected, data-driven infrastructure that modern public transport demands.”

VE3 Leadership Team

As transport authorities continue to invest in smarter, more connected, and more sustainable networks, VE3 remains committed to delivering the technology, expertise, and innovation required to support long-term transformation.

Through the Transport Technology Framework, VE3 looks forward to helping organisations modernise infrastructure, improve operational performance, enhance passenger experiences, and create the resilient transport networks needed for the future.

By combining technology innovation with practical delivery expertise, VE3 will continue to support the public sector in building connected, efficient, and data-driven transport services that create lasting value for communities across the UK.
